Our Maryland and Virginia swimming pool removal clients always want to know how long before the grass starts to grow. The picture is from a swimming pool removal job that we did in Fairfax Virginia, and the picture shows germination and growth (9) days after the seeds were sown….in mid-August!
As mentioned, 95% of the straw that we use for our swimming pool demolition jobs comes from a local farm. We were able to take these pictures as the straw was being cut and drying. Look at these pictures below – notice how “clean” the wheat fields are, no weeds, just wheat. The wheat gets harvested, dried, and then baled, and it ends up in your backyard.
