It seems that when I think I’ve finally seen it all – another fun extraordinary swimming pool demolition job comes along! We had the privilege of removing this 65,000(+) gallon swimming pool in Potomac Maryland! Usually a 32,000 to 40,000 gallon residential swimming pool removal is considered “large”. But this 65,000(+) gallon pool was just insane, it took (4) hours to drain the water – we typically have a pool drained in one to two hours. The Potomac Maryland backyard had some challenging water drainage issues prior to us doing the swimming pool removal. There were areas where water was collecting and standing. After a little strategic thought, we successfully addressed the water drainage issues and there is no longer any standing water in the backyard.

The cavity was backfilled with clean fill soil and compacted with a double drum vibratory roller. Grading was executed to ensure proper water run off away from the dwelling. Grass seed and straw come standard with all of our swimming pool demolition / removal jobs. However, the property owners decided to have us install sod, they wanted an instant lawn!
